We purchased this Q5+ machine and received it April 12, 2023 (with the help of a $200 save coupon).
We rate this 4.7 starts, but since I can't select that, I rounded.

Still LOVE this robot vacuum.
- Does a great job on the dog fur and almost all other stuff. (once and a while will find a random large leaf or something else to pick up, but it's rare.)
- The vacuum power AND completion time is awesome.
- Only had to change the base bag one time so far. I did let it go as long as possible (a little over 2 months for me with major fur) so it gave an error emptying. I removed the bag, then used regular upright vacuum hose to empty the tube in the base, put new bag on, and good to go.
Want:
- Asked devs for the app to add a way to assign room order, but for now I have just divided my floor into (2) jobs.

Our use:
- We got it to help us keep up with dog fur, as once a week (even twice) is not enough for our 85 lb. yellow lab.
- About 1,163 sq. foot main level, mostly hardwood, 2 rooms with carpet. One room's carpet is high pile.
- We like to run it 2-3 times a week.
- We keep it clean and maintained as recommended.
The overall cleaning:
- The entire main floor is cleaned in about 1hr 45mins, compared to varying 5-8 hours with j7.
---- Able to clean all in a single charge, single empty, as opposed to j7 needing 2-3 recharges and 4-6 empties.
- The suction power is far superior to the j7. No more fur left in lines along borders between carpet and wood floor.
- The carpet actually looks vacuumed well and standing up, not just matted down wheel tracks. We never really noticed before with the j7, but it's obvious now.
- The hardwood floor has noticeably less fur left behind. I'm guessing the higher suction is able to remove fur slightly stuck to the floor from drying there or static charge.
The good:
- The LiDAR navigation and mapping is excellent.
---- The initial mapping of the entire floor took 14 minutes, allowing rooms and zones setup.
---- The robot does not crash into walls and furniture, like the j7. There are occasional small bumps while getting close with the side brush.
---- Setting no-go zones is easy, and orders of magnitude more accurate than the j7.
---- Robot is able to locate where it is at all times. It did get stuck under the corner of a couch once, but I was able to pull it out, and it continued about the job. A little no-go zone at that corner fixed the issue. The j7 would have been completely lost and have to start over.
---- The vacuuming pattern is sensible and thorough, not random. Does outer borders with edge brush facing out, then vacuums back and forth covering all spaces. Any inner items like table legs also get a border cleaning with edge brush.
---- The map gets updated in real time where the robot currently is, and shows the path it has taken for the entire cleaning routine.
---- You can set new no-go zones during a cleaning cycle. The robot will simply pause until you confirm it.
The OK:
- The UI in the app for creating room dividers and such was not very intuitive, however a couple youtube videos and comments solved that.
- I would like to be able to set the order of rooms for a full clean, or make a routine where room selection order matters. I currently only see the ability to create tasks within a routine, but the robot empties after each task, so making a task for each room or small groups of rooms is not what I'm really looking for. Could be PEBKAC.
The bad:
- It does still leave some skid marks on the wood floor, but I expected that it would. Seems to be fewer than j7. Still come up with socked foot.

So Far, So Good!
I have had many different robot vacs over the years from both Roomba and Eufy. This is my first robot vac from Roborock. So far, I'm very happy with it.The Roborock vac is louder than my old Eufy 30C Max vac that it replaced, but it also runs for half the time thanks to the mapping technology. It is probably about the same noise level as the base model iRobot. Compared to the Eufy 30C Max that just bumped into things till the battery ran low, this new Roborock vac gets the whole job done in half the time so I’m OK with the noise. The self-emptying process is VERY loud (but is only about 5 seconds) and the emptying process only works if the robot vac is lined up correctly on the platform. Only once or twice so far has the vac not been lined up properly and I had to manually move it and manually empty the robot via the smartphone app.These are all minor issues and at the time of this review I'm still very happy with the robot vac. It does a great job on both my carpet and tile floors. It doesn't repeat over the same areas over and over again like my Eufy vac did. The Roborock vac does not constantly get hung up on things with "lips" like cat trees and cat scratching posts that have that have a bottom platform. The old Eufy would get hung up on these kinds of things all the time and it made me so mad, this one does not.I have been using this new roborock Q5+ Robot Vacuum pretty much every day for about 2 weeks now. I will follow up in a few months as to the durability of it since my corgi's dog hair is usually what ends up killing these things. I really do hope that I have finally found a good new brand to stick with.

Style: Q5Verified Purchase
As an introduction, we purchased a Roborock S6 Pure about a year a half ago. Overall we have been satisfied with that unit other than some minor mapping issues. When we originally purchased it, we thought we would be using it on multiple floors, but the reality was that it was just inconvenient to move it around especially with only one base. So recently we began looking for another unit for the second floor. As we didn’t need the mopping function for this level that the S6 Pure had, we looked at other models. We ended up purchasing the Roborock Q5 and generally have been happy. The suction on the Q5 seems to be a bit better than on the S6 Pure and other than the lack of mopping capability, seems to function similarly. The app to control it pretty simple and straightforward and allows for various cleaning options – full, specific rooms, number of passes, strength of cleaning, creating no go zones, and so on. It is also easily controlled via my Alexa once you have organized your rooms using the app. One minus of the Q5 compared to the S6 Pure involves the brush cleaning tool which is used to easily clean hair and similar items from the brush roll. On the S6 Pure, the brush cleaning tool snaps into a holder in the unit that is accessible when you flip up the top cover. On the Q5, I can’t actually find a place to put it – there doesn’t seem to be a holder or a slot. It seems strange and maybe it is just me, but there is nothing in the instructions about a place to store it and it should be fairly obvious on the unit if there was one. For now, I just put a piece of Velcro on it and on the base and keep it there. Another minus is the way the dust bin was designed. On the S6 Pure, you flip up the top cover and lift out the dust bin. There is a hinge in the dust bin and you simply swing open the cover and dump everything in it into the garbage can. On the Q5, you also flip up the cover and remove the dust bin, but in order to empty it, you have to unsnap and remove the filter. Unfortunately, while doing this, the dust bin tends to get tilted this way or that and the contents start to come out of the intake hole. You are also then holding the filter in one hand and the dust bin in the other, which makes cleaning it out a bit more difficult. You can put the filter down, but since it tends to be covered in dust (as it should be), you then have to wipe off where ever you just put it down. Weird design choice, but once we got used to this dust bin issue, we are just more careful when emptying it to make sure that we don’t try to empty it over a very small garbage can. Overall the Q5 performs well, and notwithstanding the 2 design issues, we decided to keep it and are pleased with the purchase.

What's important to understand with these vacuums is that they're meant to run almost every day to *keep* your floors clean; you shouldn't let dust and debris accumulate too much between cleanings. They also require frequent maintenance if you want to make them last. This is true for all robot vacuums.
Some insight if you do choose the Roborock Q5+:
-You can replace the main brush with the newer design rubber roller from the S7 models. It deals better with hair, but is somewhat less durable than the brush roller and also less efficient on carpet (many S7 owners on Reddit swap in a Q5 brush and say it works better than the rubber one on carpet).
-If you stick with the original Q5 brush make sure you clean it often, as hair will inevitably get entangled around it. Also check the side brush regularly for entangled hair around the screw and seal.
-The auto-emptying can be tricky as it requires a perfect seal in order to vacuum properly into the dock's bin. Make sure the 4 plastic tabs of the brush cover are well tucked in the housing of the roller. The tabs should not be visible when seated correctly (see photo). If your dust box is not emptying this is most probably the fix for that.
-Verify the robot's dust box often for clogs, and keep that filter clean as they are expensive to replace. You should also clean your sensors with a microfiber cloth every once in a while. There is a timer in the app to remind you (it doesn't actually detect anything; just a timer you have to reset manually).
-For Android users: To connect properly to your WiFi you should turn off mobile data and any adblocker app, and also disable auto-connect to both 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi networks until the robot is paired.

Aspira super bien! Tiene 4 modos de aspiración, yo tengo dos gatos y esos pelos que aspiro no se veían en mi piso, robot aspiro y yo trapee,
La interfaz de la app es muy amigable, puedes separar las habitaciones, yo tengo dos pisos y mapee arriba a
también, tu la llevas la dejas en un punto mapea y regresa a ese punto ya que su base la puse abajo.
Puedes prohibir zonas, puedes poner paredes falsas. Puedes usarla con el 🕹️ por si quieres aspirar algo en un punto fijo.
Llega a su base muy bien.
Sensor de caídas excelente ya que tengo escalones aquí en la sala y comedor y no pasó nada.
Se mete entre las sillas del comedor, la verdad es buena compra, eso sí ,hay que limpiar diario el.contenedor de basura ya que es pequeño pero no te tardas ni 5 min.
Yo lei muchas opciones de robots y está fue la que más me gustó y hasta ahorita creo fue buena opción.
